Healthfirst RN UAS Clinical Educator in Home Office, New York
The Clinical Educator provides function-specific, multi-level staff training for Reassessment Nurses ranging from product knowledge to SAAM training. The Educator also coordinates with the Care Management Teams (CMTs) and deals with policies/procedures related to newly hired and current Reassessment Nurses.
- Accompanies clinical staff as they conduct semi-annual assessments in members' homes and provides contemporaneous feedback.- Trains and teaches others about Healthfirst products, processes, and policies.- Interprets product, procedural, and regulatory information, and assist with the development of training curricula.- Dissects information and creates user-friendly training materials and other learning tools for Healthfirst employees.- Prepares and maintains reports/records on training program attendance, programs offered, utilization levels, and training evaluation measures.- Additional duties as assigned
Ability to travel around downstate New York including Westchester County and Long Island, as needed
Work experience preferred in one or more of the following areas:
Medical Surgical Nursing
Work experience using electronic patient health information (PHI) database usage especially UAS
Relevant training/coaching experience
Intermediate Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills).
Unexpired NY state driver’s license or NYS ID
Knowledge of health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and MLTCP
Experience working with a frail adult or elderly population with the ability to determine appropriate care plans and services for frail population as well as negotiate initial service plans so that members and families are in agreement
Time management, critical/creative thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
Field experience assessing, planning, and evaluating member's/patient’s care
Language preferences - Spanish, Russian, French, Creole, Mandarin, Cantonese
Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
