Healthfirst Financial Data Analyst in New York, New York

Description

The primary role of the Financial Data Analyst will be to be able to create datasets in SAS/SQL and convert them into XML format. Another main responsibility is to manage the DWH integration process to load XML files to GL. The incumbent will also assist in the mapping of Data Warehouse structures and dataflow into the General Ledger (GL). The candidate will also assist in the data migration from the SAS environment into AWS cloud platform.

  • Work with the EMR (Excess Medical Revenue) and GL teams to ensure that all of the approved entries are loaded into General Ledger.

  • Maintain the GL integration process for both financial journals and statistics

  • Conduct GL/EMR data reconciliation.

  • Assist in maintenance and improvement of automated Data Warehouse processes.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

  • Work experience with data analytics.

  • Experience increating, maintaining and running complex queries using SQL.

  • Work experience with large volumes of data in Excel utilizing advanced functions such as VLookups, Pivot Tables, formulas, model building.

  • Working knowledge of a Data Warehouse structure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Math, Statistics or Computer Science from an accredited institution.

  • Basis Knowledge in SAS.

  • Analytical experience in a healthcare environment (such as a managed care organization, commercial health insurance plan, hospital system, etc.)

  • Ability toeffectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including technical staff, internal non-technical staff, and business stakeholders.

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently adapt in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive lean implementation.

  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of systems and technology.
