Healthfirst IT Solutions Architect, Corporate Business Systems in New York, New York

Description

The Corporate Business Systems IT Solutions Architect is part of a high performance Application Development team supporting platforms within Healthfirst’s corporate business areas including; - HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, Compliance, Security and Identity Access Management and other business functions.

In this role, the IT Solutions Architect is accountable for the Workday platform, interacting with IT Program teams, IT leadership, Corporate Business Technology Program team, business leaders, functional teams and external vendors.

Job Description & Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Technical leader for the solution design, configuration and delivery for HR/Finance applications with a primary focus on Workday.

  • Determine specifications for new systems and solutions necessary to support the Corporate Business Technology program. Assist in the development of business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and feasibility studies.

  • Overall responsibility for Workday tenant management, functional configurations and deployment of workday solutions based on business needs and requirements.

  • In collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, develop detailed IT architecture plans and technology roadmaps.

  • Responsible for technical planning, development and modification of integrations, providing support for Workday with downstream / upstream vendors.

  • Collaboration with the QA team to develop automated testing scripts for Workday releases.

  • Ensure overall design and configuration of workday adheres to security and risk management controls and policies.

  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies; support Epic, Feature and Story scoping, coping, estimation, planning, risk management, finalization of technical / functional specifications, resource administration & optimization, and quality management.

  • Mentor teams

  • Knowledge of Workday Security, Compliance Processes, Risk Management, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning, User Access, Enterprise Change Management Process, Audits, Application security & data privacy reviews.

  • Ensure solution handoffs to production - transition and stabilization for implemented solutions.

  • Strong problem solving & technical skills Manage changes to existing processes and systems working with HR functional owners

  • Proficient in Workday implementation best practices

  • HR functional & workday functionality expertise and should be able to contribute effectively in design discussions considering long term support.

  • Demonstrated experience of workday integrations framework.

  • Strong understanding of IT Application Development principles (SDLC) & architectures

  • Strong leadership & organizational skills with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced, results driven environment.

  • Accountable to lead & align the program team and drive for results.

  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization within IT and the business areas

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and proven track record of successful engagement with Agilent businesses and functions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Min. 8+ years of experience managing technology

  • Experience implementing and/or supporting Workday preferred

  • Experience testing new workday releases preferred

  • Supports Agile PI events, sprints, and the release management processes.
