Healthfirst Pharmacy Benefits Analyst in New York, New York
The Pharmacy Operations Analyst is responsible for performing pharmacy benefits research, analysis, validation, and handling related reporting.
Identifies opportunities for improvement and participates in the development of new pharmacy reporting capabilities in support of customer needs.
Documents policies and procedures, reporting and project specifications, job aids and workflows within the department.
Participates in the setup of pharmacy benefits via our Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM).
Determines and/or agrees upon deliverables with customer, as well as determines the resource(s) necessary to meet those deliverables.
Acts as Healthfirst's Product Management Department point of contact.
Acts as Healthfirst's pharmacy benefits design Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Partners with Manager, Supervisor and other senior analysts to analyze customers’ needs and requests and review requests for accuracy, completeness, intent and scope.
Is expected to expand global business acumen and awareness relative to changes that impact Healthfirst's businesses and customers (related to Pharmacy benefits).
Additional duties as assigned
- Experience working with a Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) within a healthplan or direct experience at a PBM that includes client facing interaction.
-Experience with MS Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, vlookup formulas) and MS Access (e.g. Basic relational database skills/knowledge: queries, joins, Select, Sub queries etc.)
- HS Diploma/GED
Basic SQL skills
Certified Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy benefits installation and testing experience
MS Project: Ability to create schedules that include interdependencies, predecessors and successors between tasks. Must also be able to create baselines, provide milestone reports as well as manage resources and work hours.
Writing queries used for front-end applications (e.g. Aginity, MS Access, Tableau)
