Healthfirst Project Manager - State Programs in New York, New York

Description

The Project Manager (PM) for State Programs is an integral part of the team with responsibility for strategizing, planning, and implementing complex initiatives. The PM will serve as lead and coordinator of efforts across State Programs and the Growth area while also liaising with other HF departments to bring projects successful completion. Reporting directly to the SVP State Programs, the PM will help elevate the current standard of delivery across the entire area by providing creative solutions to process and resource gaps. The PM will serve as a matrix team lead, building critical relations and coalescing resources from all areas of HF to ensure seamless coordination across Growth and HF functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Attends relevant meetings, develops and manages work plans, and ensures or facilitates appropriate follow up

  • Drafts key communications such as documentation, presentations, and reports

  • Researches strategic intent of, develops agendas for, and prepares materials or presentations for meetings

  • Work with stakeholders to instill and enforce processes, workflows and tools that support the delivery of quality work product

  • Maintain departmental values, vision, direction and responsibilities with project stakeholders

  • Partner with internal team to help optimize existing operational processes and systems

  • Provide solutions-oriented program management with a willingness to creatively solve problems with a positive, professional demeanor and emotional intelligence

  • Create milestone reports, time-line views and dynamic schedules to actively manage projects

  • Find creative ways to help our team connect with objectives and visualize communicate our successes both internally and to senior leadership, including presentations and report

  • Define scope and requirements of projects: develop project plans, ensure effective functioning of projects and supervise implementation

  • Perform workflow analysis to determine best process solutions for Growth processes and propose new process improvements

  • Establish regular cadence with the cross-functional teams for results and report out of achievements, issues and risks

  • Provide timely and accurate updates to all project related documents and facilitate project meetings

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Work experience managing projects with a background in events planning

  • Demonstrated stakeholder and project management experience with the ability to execute project plans, identify resource needs, manage milestones and interdependencies, effectively resolve problems and drive for results

  • Experience liaising senior-level internal stakeholders

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong critical thinker with analytical skills and the ability to see the bigger picture

  • Must have the skills to create and maintain detailed schedules following best practices including prioritization of task types, constraints and work effort;

  • MS Excel skills: ability to create and use Excel reports to manage information

  • MS PowerPoint skills: ability to create presentations including the importing of data from other applications such as Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word

  • Ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Must be able to handle a broad variety of tasks with sound judgment

  • Must be a problem solver and trusted to build relationships

  • Contribute to a culture of delivery efficiency and excellence

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team to accomplish larger goals and independently with little supervision when completing assigned tasks or other responsibilities

  • Must be a self-starter and able to operate with minimal oversight

  • Critical thinker able to identify creative solutions

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications or Healthcare related field

  • Advanced degree or other certifications such as PMP or PMI
