Healthfirst Sr Application Developer, AWS in New York, New York

Description

The Sr. Application Developer's primary responsibility will be to design, developer, test and deliver solutions using AWS technology stack.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design, development and delivery of solutions on AWS technology stack

  • Develop efficient and high performant code

  • Develop unit tests to maximize code coverage and end to end business scenarios

  • Support existing architecture and code

  • Documents code and design as needed

  • Work with other teams to understand scope and design efficient solution

  • Collaborates within the Agile framework, fosters a team approach to software development and delivery

  • Ensure all code developed follows DevOps practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Architect and implement solutions on AWS Elasticsearch

  • Engineer solutions on AWS based data processing stack

  • Work with business and IT teams to understand and capture search requirements

  • Hands on experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS, ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana

  • Experience consuming and build REST APIs

  • Strong SQL skills

  • Experience with ETL architecture and using ETL tools

  • Experience writing multithreaded and high performant software

  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory and Consul

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in Computer Science

  • AWS Solution Architect or Developer Certification

  • Knowledge of provider-sponsored health insurance systems/processes and the Healthcare industry

  • Experience with CLoud Data Warehouse
