The Senior Manager is a process-driven leader who will help build and manage an enterprise-level provider communications program with a cross-functional work team. This team will drive both a short-term solution for the categorization and prioritization of current provider communication and engagement projects as well as a longer-term solution that will define a cohesive annual strategy that aligns audience segmentation (e.g. Administrative, Physician) with appropriate communications and engagement for a consistent provider experience.

The successful candidate will be results driven, creative, detail orientated and have strong project management and communication skills. This individual will leverage consumer insights and work with internal partners (e.g.: Network Management, Clinical Quality, Population Health, and Claims) to develop marketing strategies and integrated marketing plans to communicate with our providers. This individual needs to be a team player and able to work with and influence cross functional teams to implement marketing tactics including collateral development, stakeholder support, branding activities, and data driven (direct) marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leverages consumer insights and past experience with commercial health insurance plans to develop and drive marketing strategies encompassing multi-channel outreach, communication, and engagement initiatives. In collaboration with internal partners, builds integrated marketing plans, calendars, and defines appropriate key performance indicators.

  • Leverages insights to develop and execute a best in class provider communications strategy including provider marketing communications that leverages digital technology

  • Builds editorial calendars. Writes, edits, and manages communications for publication to provider audiences

  • Establishes and actively manages all project and key stakeholder expectations and relationships

  • Manages deliverables from all functional teams ensuring they meet the defined timeline and quality based on project guidelines

  • Understands key product features and translates those into proof points and compelling creative ensuring that all work reflects market strategy, brand voice, and style guidelines

  • Understands direct response principles and applies appropriate calls to action and tracking to campaigns when appropriate

  • Works with business and technology teams to ensure business needs are clearly understood and the short and long-term solutions meet the needs and expectations of the business and the provider community

  • Reports status to the Project Sponsor and escalates changes, issues, risks for resolution as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Experience managing cross-functional projects that yield meaningful results

  • Experience engaging and communicating with key stakeholders including senior-level leadership

  • Experience in developing digital communications programs

  • Understanding of managed care, the healthcare industry or the Affordable Health Care Act

  • Experience in the management and development of marketing collateral

  • Experience in managing a team of people and/or in leading a team to achieve results

  • Experience creating integrated marketing campaigns for both online and offline media channels

  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations including strong PowerPoint skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Industry work experience in healthcare such as hospital, managed or long-term care, insurance, government or other healthcare agency

  • Experience in developing provider-facing marketing and communications materials

  • Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Marketing Project Management Software

  • Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt or LEAN

  • Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment

  • Experience in managing or working on projects across multiple departments using an SDLC methodology and Agile/Scrum methodology

  • Experience using an enterprise project management system such as MS Project Server and MS Project

  • Experience with application and/or systems implementations or upgrades
