About the Healthfirst Summer Trailblazer Program
The Healthfirst Summer Trailblazer Program is a 10-week paid internship that runs from June 3 through August 9 of 2019. The aim of the program is to provide an immersive, interactive learning experience that lays a foundation for continued leadership development and success.

This internship is based out of our 100 Church Street location in Downtown NY
We do not offer reimbursements for relocation, housing or commuting costs
The Analytic Insights team is responsible for monitoring different facets of performance for hospitals and provider groups and communicating findings in order to identify areas of opportunity for Healthfirst and Hospital and Physician Groups senior management. The Analytic Insight Interns will work within the Network Management team and will also be offered the opportunity to collaborate with other departments in order to develop a final project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Compile data from large and complex data sets, including both financial and healthcare data
Use statistical software to access the financial sustainability of community programs
Perform data analysis and financial modeling
Prepare ad hoc reports for both internal and external use
Summarize and communicate results to management
Concentration in Math, Economics, Finance,Business, Statisticsor related program
Strong analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and with a team
Ability to document processes accurately and thoroughly.
Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
Advanced Excel skills – pivot tables, v-lookup, graphs/visuals
Basic knowledge of programming preferable (ex. SAS, SQL,VBA), including ability to create queries and analyze data sets
Undergraduate students musta senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.
Will not require sponsorship for employment

Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school
