Job Description Summary

The System Analyst within the Application Development team is responsible for designing and developing high performance data integration and work-flow solutions. The candidate will adhere to programming standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; identifies work process improvements and implements new technology.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • The Programmer Analyst develops and translates designs and specifications into various systems following programming standards.

  • Demonstrates a proficiency in at MS-SQL development, tuning and administration, Application support built on .Net technologies, creating reports in Jasper. Knowledge of data integration and creating SSIS is a plus.

  • Participates in the analysis, definition and documentation of system requirements.

  • Leads the creation and documentation of solution designs that are in line with the existing Healthfirst technical environment.

  • Performs tests on various systems and units, creates test scenarios and performs code maintenance to ensure quality control standards are met.

  • Creates deployment packages and deployment related documentation.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.

  • Significant experience in the configuration of enterprise applications.

  • Application support background (within clinical application a plus).

  • Ability to troubleshoot an application built on a distributed architecture.

  • Business analysis – translate business requirements into technical specification. For example, design an integration by creating a spreadsheet to do data mapping. Another example is to write out detailed requirements such as business rules and triggers within the application.

  • Reporting background – ability to write simple SQL queries to create reports using Jasper.

  • SQL development skills – ability to write stored procedures, triggers and process log files.

  • Standard Windows and SQL management skills – i.e., archive log files, restart services, code promotion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Experience with Casenet TruCare or other clinical applications.

  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework.

  • Experience with configuration management.
