Healthfirst Vendor Relationship Specialist in New York, New York

Reporting to the Manager of Delegated Vendor Oversight, the Vendor Relationship Specialist manages delegate oversight procedures and facilitates materials, audits and reporting presented at Delegated Vendor Oversight Subcommittee (DVOS). The Vendor Relationship Specialist will support the vendor management processes and programs at Healthfirst to ensure that contractual and regulatory requirements are met. Specialists will also assist with related daily operations and special departmental projects and initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Key contributor and participant in the Delegated Vendor Oversight Committee by compiling materials, providing quality assurance of materials, and facilitating conversation.

  • Oversee delegated vendor and internal business owner relationships to ensure compliance, optimal delegate performance, and achievement of business goals according to Delegated Vendor Oversight Service Level Standards and other vendor contractual requirements.

  • Conduct and drive pre-delegation and continuous audits timely and accurately for delegated vendors to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.

  • Maintain highly effective working relationships with internal business stakeholders to ensure performance metrics are met, identify opportunities for improvement, mitigate risk and eliminate barriers to correct Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).

  • Develop materials that report on performance data for vendors based on contractual requirements and Service Level Standards on a monthly/quarterly basis for DVOS, Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) and Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (ARCC).

  • Analyze, track and follow-up on the timely resolution of corrective action plan requests, DVOS meeting follow-ups or actions and issues that are a result of vendor processes and as necessary escalate unresolved inquiries/complaints to leadership.

  • Assist Manager with internal/external audit requests as needed.

  • Analyze, update, and modify procedures and processes to continually improve delegate oversight operations.

  • Monitor and report instances of vendor Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) implement CAPs as necessary.

  • Support manager in coordinating audit documents as it relates to compliance with state and federal requirements.

  • Assist Manager in other vendor delegate oversight functions as needed.

  • Perform any other duties or projects that may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills with detail-oriented focus.

  • Demonstrated computer literacy along with moderate level skills needed to within Microsoft Office products.

  • Demonstrated project management experience with respect to Planning, Organizing, and Executing to meet business goals.

  • Demonstrated professionalism and leadership skills along with ability to develop and direct projects.

  • Should be adaptable, flexible while working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • HS Diploma/GED or relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of health insurance/health care/managed care environment preferred.

  • Experience with MS Project, Visio and Adobe Professional

  • Ability to digest large scale data sets and present out on tangible findings.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $67,200 - $97,155

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $59,800 - $88,910

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
